In preparation for the 1000th founding anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, the International contest to discover Thang Long – Hanoi entitled: “Hanoi – Your Destination” has been organized on end by Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) in coordination with the National Office of Steering Committee for the 1000th founding anniversary of Thang Long. This year, we have already sent you all the information and the contents of the International contest 2009-2010 with topic: “Towards the 1000th Founding Anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi” through Internet.

During the past year, we have already received 1006 submissions of the participants from many different nations in the world, including diplomatists, researchers in culture and history………

In order to introduce Hanoi - city for peace and its famous cultural and historical relics to international friends, the Organizing Committee has decided to extend a deadline for submission of entry to 30/6/2010.
