First overseas Vietnamese in Laos awarded 65-year Party membership badge

The Party Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos on November 5th awarded the 65-year Party membership badge to Mr. Tran Van My in Vientiane, Laos.
On behalf of the Party Committee of the Embassy, Mr. Ha Anh Dan, Counsellor of the Embassy, presented the 65-year Party membership badge to Mr. Tran Van My and wished him good health and to continue to his contributions to the community and the Vietnam – Laos special solidarity and relations.
Mr. Tran Van My was born in 1930 in Vientiane. His hometown is from in Quang Lien commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province. In 1944, he participated in activities of the Vietnam – Laos fighting coalition. By 1950, Mr. My was admitted to the Indochinese Communist Party, the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
He is one of Vietnamese experts working in Laos. He has made many contributions, to nurturing the relationship between the two countries and has been awarded many medals by the two Parties and states. In 2000, he was awarded the 50-year Party membership badge by the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party./.
