FRENCH SONGS FESTIVAL 2018

In celebration of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties (April 12, 1973- April 12, 2018), in the morning of April 8, the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi held “French songs Festival 2018”. The program aims to introduce French culture through music and language to everybody, especially young people, to further strengthen the friendship between the two people of Vietnam and France.

                            

Attending the festival, there were: Ms. Tran Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of HAUFO; Mr. Pierre Yves Turellier, Education Coordinator – Embassy of France in Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Lan Trung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association of the Central, Chairman of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi and representatives of the Public Relations Department – Hanoi Party Committee, members of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi.

The festival attracts the participation of students from 13 elementary schools, high schools and universities in Hanoi that are branches of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi with more than 20 exciting, attractive items.

In the opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Lan Trung, Chairman of Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi, said: The festival was an occasion for exchanging and linking students between schools and branches of French-Vietnam Frienship Association. It showed the unique characteristics, creative style, special mark…of Vietnamese young people through the diversity of colors in the French culture.

“We are here today at the French Cultural Center – the home of culture and friendship to enjoy the songs performed by the Vietnamese youngers. French music is not only an art to tell the story of life but also a messenger of culture. The idea of ​​organizing this festival is very useful because it is the bridge to strengthen the bond between young generation of 2 countries”, Mr. Pierre Yves Turellier, Education Coordinator – Embassy of France in Vietnam said.

The festival is expected to become the annual friendship activities of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Hanoi.
