The administration of Moscow (the Russian Federation) on November 3rd organized a solemn ceremony to present awards of the State and Moscow to individuals operating in different fields of politics, economics, culture, religion, education, sports and agriculture for their contribution in building and strengthening national unity block and social security of Russia.
Two Vietnamese citizens honoured on this occasion are Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son and Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of Mareven Food Central, and Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor of Moscow Andrey Vorobyev stressed, “all those who are present today at the ceremony of different professions, nationalities and religions, but they share the same desire to make Moscow and Russia to become a place with a comfortable, happy and safe life.”
On behalf of the leaders of Moscow, the Mayor presented Sergei Radonezhsky Holy Medal to Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son for his efforts promoting cooperation in the field of development of investment activities and foreign economic relations with the Russian Federation in general and Moscow in particular.
Meanwhile, Mr. Do Xuan Hoang was awarded Sergei Radonezhsky Holy Medal for his practical and effective contributions to the socio-economic development in Moscow, as well as to develop and strengthen the Vietnam – Russia traditional relations.
In an interview with the press after the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son affirmed that the prestigious award is the evaluation and belief of the Moscow administration for the contributions of individuals in particular and representative agencies of Vietnam in general.
He stressed that it shows the confidence and desire of Russia in the coming time that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation be increasingly strengthened and developed, especially in the field of economy.
According to Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son, the bilateral trade revenue has not been commensurate with the potential of the two countries. With the efforts of the diplomatic missions and the cooperation of the local departments and sectors, the Vietnam – Russia economic, trade and investment ties have recorded good results such as TH True Milk Group implementing a major project in Moscow and Kaluga, Incentra Group and other enterprises investing in Moscow./.
