Vietnam-India Friendship Association in Hanoi gratitudes for heroes, martyrs and volunteering activities in Quang Tri

On May 18-21, the Vietnam-India Friendship Association in Hanoi coordinated with the An Lac Club to organize a program of gratitude for heroes, martyrs and volunteering activities in Quang Tri. The delegation was chaired by Chairwomanof the Association Phan Lan Tu.

The delegation made incense offering, visited the graves of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for independence and freedom of our country at the monument of Dong Loc junction(Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province),the monument of Road 20: Quyet Thang (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province),the martyrs’ cemetery in Road 9,the Truong Son martyrs’ cemetery,the Quang Tri ancient citadel.They also organized a night ceremony compllete with flower garlands and coloured lanterns on the Thach Han River. The delegation visited the Lam Bich Center, where is home for 38 orphans and abandoned children. In Quang Tri, the delegation actively contacted Cam Lo district leaders to buy chili pepper to help farmers in this district in consuming products.

The visit was successful and created many meaningful feelings for each members. We hope that the Association would continue to organize many practical programs of gratitude, strengthen exchange activities in provinces and cities inour country.
